Enjoy looking at pieces I've made for clients and customers over the years. If you see something you like, I can re-create it for you, but please keep in mind that every piece is hand made and no two pieces will be exactly alike. Also remember that although it is possible to find similar stones to artisan cut cabochons, a particular stone cannot be duplicated.

Artisan jewelry pieces made at Bertha Hennessey Studio and sold from the Studio Store are one of a kind, just like the customer who wears them. Focal point cabochon stones used in pieces are sourced from stone cutting artists so they too are unique and one of a kind. For focal point cabochon settings, achieving a sense of harmony and balance in a piece means the setting design is influenced by the pattern in the focal point stone. Descriptions of stones in Studio Store items include the size and/or weight of the stone, when applicable, and reference The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall for metaphysical properties.
Designs using small cabochon stones can be duplicated to a certain extent because small cabochons can be calibrated for size and color. Similarly, settings that incorporate faceted stones also can be duplicated because the faceted stones used also can be calibrated for size and color.
However, because each piece is crafted by hand there will be some variation from one piece to another, even when the same setting design is used. That is the nature and the charm of hand crafted artisan jewelry.
This studio actively practices environmentally conscientious policies by 1) purchasing from manufacturers of raw materials that develop metals from recycled components, 2) purchasing stones from sources (when possible) that practice safe mining and cutting techniques, 3) using digital invoicing and recycled paper for all packing slips, and 4) re-using packaging materials for mailing items. To prevent tarnish, your purchased items are wrapped in tarnish-prevention tissue paper and place in a cloth pouch for shipping. Please see Proper Care of Your Jewelry for more information.
